Learning About Paramedics & Emergency Care

Children need to learn basic about injuries and what to do in case of an emergency. When the paramedic person visited our preschool, it was a great opportunity for the children to learn more about emergency health care professionals and trauma care by observing and experimenting with real life apparatus.

Our students have learned that paramedic personel is a trained health care professional who specializes in emergency medical care. They also learned that paramedics are trained to respond to medical emergencies out in the field for the purpose of stabilizing the victim's condition so she/he can be transported to a medical facility for definitive care.
